Susan Shin, O.D.,M.S.
Before joining us at Quigley Eye Specialists, Susan Shin, O.D.,M.S. proudly served our veterans as supervising optometrist at the Veterans Administration in Fort Myers for more than eleven years. Dr. Shin led the VA eye clinic in the treatment of our veterans for glaucoma, cataracts, droopy eyelids and retina problems.
She has also served for many years as an Examiner for both the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and Florida State Board of Optometry.
Dr. Shin graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. While working at the nationally recognized William Feinbloom Low Vision Center, she completed her Masters of Science degree in Low Vision Rehabilitation from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Shin then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale Florida.
Dr. Shin went on for additional residency training at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Haven, Connecticut, where she focused on primary eye care, low vision and the care and treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, droopy lids and problems of the retina.
Dr. Shin, her husband David, and their two children live in Fort Myers. Her greatest love and passion is enjoying time with her family.
