Dr. Michael R. Derhodge graduated with
honors from Nova Southeastern University
College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida. While earning his degree, Dr.
Derhodge completed an internship at the
world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye
Institute in Miami, Florida with specific
focus on ocular disease diagnosis and
management. Following graduation, Dr.
Derhodge completed a Residency in primary
care with emphasis in ocular disease at
Nova Southeastern University College of
Dr. Derhodge’s professional interests
include the treatment of glaucoma, cataracts,
macular degeneration, and dry eye. He also has
significant experience in the use of advanced
ocular imaging technology.
Dr. Derhodge is a member of the American Optometric Association, the
Florida Optometric Association, and the Beta Sigma Kappa International
Optometric Honor Society.
In his leisure time, Dr. Derhodge enjoys watching college football andplaying golf, hockey, and the drums
