If the call to become a doctor has
family roots, it may explain our Dr. Michael
Lewis’ decision to become an Ophthalmologist.
Turns out that Dr. Lewis’ great grandfather
was a John Hopkins trained physician
who made his rounds throughout upstate New
York in a horse-and-buggy. Dr. Lewis, the
oldest of five kids, identified with his great
grandfather and began his medical training at
the renowned St. Louis University Schoolof Medicine.
